Dallas Illini Club to award Scholarship to incoming Freshman from DFW

Congratulations to Srinjoy Pal, recipient of 2026 Scholarship Award.
 

Hi Dallas Illini Club, my name is Srinjoy Pal, I live in Plano with my mother, father, and little sister. I attended and graduated Plano West Senior High School where I was the Band’s Tuba/Sousaphone Section Leader and everyone’s best Pal. At U of I my major is Business Undeclared, but I’m going in with an interest veering towards Supply Chain Management in Gies and to also explore Data Science, logistics, and informatics. While I do state all of this, I plan to go with an open mind and am still interested learning about all aspects of the business major. 

     The reason I chose U of I was because Gies was the best overall fit for me compared to the Business Schools in IU, Ohio State, Texas A&M. I wanted a strong business education with exposure to technology and data, but without being locked into a specialized path too early. Gies gives me flexibility and a place where I can continue growing as a leader, build practical skills, and have access to great opportunities after graduation.
